Android Developer
(Bayan Lepas, Penang)

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science or equivalent

 Required skills/experiences:

• Programming skills in Java
• Familiarity with Android SDK
• Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Familiarity with the use of mobile platform sensors, such as accelerometer and GPS
• Familiarity with the use of wireless communication, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 3G
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN and Git
• Experience in Scrum is an added advantage
• Experience in Android application publishing is an added advantage

Additional requirements:

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with product development cycle
• Positive thinking with good self-discipline
• Malaysian citizen or holding relevant residence status

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, develop and debug applications for the Android platform
• Work on improving application performance
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments
• Create schedule for development and keep to the planned schedule
• Participate in design FMEA
• Work with hardware development team for software and hardware integration
• Ensure procedures of data security are followed
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Support test validation group with the test method for product validation
• Ensure Intellectual property rights are respected at all times
